What we find on gym and studio websites

We scanned 35 gym and studio sites. Here is how many had each problem.

• 24 of 35 Text too faint to read

  Light grey on white, or white on a pale photo. Hard to read for older customers and anyone on a phone in sunlight. Checked in the $149 fix, not the free scan.

• 17 of 35 Links with no name

  Icon links (Facebook, Instagram, the phone icon, the logo) that a screen reader announces as just “link”. The free scan checks this.

• 4 of 35 Zoom blocked on phones

  A setting that stops people pinching to zoom in on prices, hours and small print. The free scan checks this.

• 3 of 35 Buttons with no name

  Menu, search and close buttons that are only an icon and are announced as just “button”. The free scan checks this.

• 3 of 35 Links shown only by color

  Links inside paragraphs that differ from the text only by color, so people with color blindness miss them. Checked in the $149 fix, not the free scan.

From our own scans of local US business websites in October 2026. We picked these sites because each had at least one serious issue, so the numbers describe sites with problems, not every site.
