What the free scan looks for
Common barriers that stop real customers from reading your menu, booking an appointment or buying online.
Images without descriptions
Photos of your menu, products or team that screen readers can't describe.
Form fields without labels
Booking, contact and order forms people can't fill in.
Buttons and links with no name
Icon-only buttons that are announced as just “button”.
Vague links
“Click here” and “Read more” links that make no sense on their own.
Page structure
Missing page title, language, main heading, or headings that skip levels.
Zoom blocked on phones
Settings that stop people pinching to zoom in on prices and text.
Keyboard traps and order
Tab order overrides and missing “skip to content” links.
Embeds and media
Untitled maps and booking widgets, and video or audio that autoplays with sound.

Questions, answered honestly
What is WCAG?
WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) is the international standard for making websites usable by people with disabilities — for example people who are blind and use a screen reader, people who can't use a mouse, or people who need to zoom in. It's published by the W3C, the group that sets web standards.
Each issue in your fix list shows the WCAG rule number it relates to (like 1.1.1 for image descriptions), so your web designer knows exactly what we mean.
Will this make my website ADA compliant?
No — and we think you should be wary of anyone who promises that. Automated scans catch a portion of accessibility issues and are not a legal compliance certification. Automated tools, ours included, can reliably find a portion of problems (like missing image descriptions or unlabeled form fields). Many others — whether content makes sense, whether everything works with a keyboard, color contrast in images — need a person to check.
What we can do is show you real, common barriers that stop customers today, explain them in plain English, and help you fix them. That makes your site genuinely easier to use. We're not lawyers, and nothing here is legal advice; if you have a legal concern, please talk to an attorney.
How is this different from accessibility overlay widgets?
Overlays are the little accessibility icons and toolbars you add with one line of code. They try to patch problems on the fly in the visitor's browser, and many disabled users and accessibility experts say they often get in the way. We don't sell overlays. We give you — or your web person — a list of real fixes to make in the website itself, or we make them for you.
What does the free scan check, and what can't it check?
It reads the HTML of the page you enter and runs about 15 checks: image descriptions, form labels, button and link names, page title and language, heading structure, zoom settings, keyboard order, skip links, embedded frames, autoplaying media, duplicate IDs and table headers. It checks one page and doesn't run your site's scripts, so content that only appears after the page loads may be missed. It doesn't check color contrast or test with a real screen reader.
What happens when I buy “We fix your top 10”?
After checkout we'll email you within one business day to arrange access to your website editor (WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Shopify, Webflow and most others work). We fix the 10 most important issues from your scan, re-scan, and send you a before-and-after report. If something can't be changed on your platform, we'll explain why and give you step-by-step instructions instead.
What do you do with my information?
We store the address you scanned and the results so we can show them to you and improve our checks. If you give us your email, we only use it to follow up about your results — never sold, never shared for advertising. See our privacy policy.
